Position Summary
The Human Resources/Recruiting Assistant supports day-to-day HR operations and plays a key role in coordinating recruiting activities across the organization. This position provides administrative support to the HR Director, assists with employee lifecycle processes, and helps ensure a positive experience for candidates and employees. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Human Resources/Recruiting Assistant supports day-to-day HR operations and plays a key role in coordinating recruiting activities across the organization. This position provides administrative support to the HR Director, assists with employee lifecycle processes, and helps ensure a positive experience for candidates and employees. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Administration
- Support onboarding and new-hire orientation; prepare new-hire packets and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain employee records, both electronic and physical, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Assist with benefits administration tasks, open enrollment support, and employee changes.
- Help coordinate training, safety documentation, and company events.
- Respond to employee inquiries or route them to the appropriate HR team member.
- Assist with payroll changes, timekeeping updates, and routine HR reporting.
Compliance & Employee Support
- Ensure accurate completion of I-9 forms and compliance with E-Verify procedures.
- Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Support safety initiatives, workers’ compensation documentation, and reporting as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and act with professionalism at all times.
Recruiting & Staffing
- Assist with full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing and administrative roles.
- Post job openings on approved job boards, company website, and social platforms.
- Screen résumés and coordinate interview scheduling with hiring managers.
- Conduct phone screens and communicate with candidates throughout the hiring process.
- Support pre-employment processes, including background checks, references, and drug screens.
- Maintain applicant tracking and recruiting metrics.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of HR and recruiting experience required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS or ATS is required.
