The Maintenance Tech performs upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. This position is responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional.  Skyline Products needs someone who is reliable, with a keen eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge, and possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. 
Responsibilities
  • Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping etc.
  • Perform minor fixes such as replacing light bulbs, basic plumbing, tool repair
  • Do garden/yard upkeep by mowing lawn
  • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
  • Report to the facilities manager for issues
  • Complies with all company safety regulations
  • Responds to repair and maintenance requests in a timely fashion
  • Loads and unloads equipment and tools into work vehicles if needed
  • Follows written and verbal instructions from the maintenance manager or clients
  • Reads and follows manuals, blueprints, and other written instructions
  • Uses equipment, including power tools, hand tools, electric tools, and plumbing tools.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a maintenance worker, or other similar position
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical stamina and dexterity
  • Handles the physical demands of the job, including standing, bending, pulling, pushing, climbing, and lifting at least 50 pounds.
  • Must have a driver’s license and a good driving record
