Job Summary:
Mechanical Engineer Interns will assist in systems design of large LED/electronic highway information signs as well as gas station LED/electronic and scroll gas price signs.
Mechanical Engineer Interns will assist in systems design of large LED/electronic highway information signs as well as gas station LED/electronic and scroll gas price signs.
- Performs routine inspections in accordance with quality control standards.
- Engage with senior personnel on significant technical matters that require coordination between organizations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight within the department and externally with other departments (Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, Testing, Purchasing, Marketing, Accounting, etc.).
- Ability to draft technical reports and present to various organizational levels.
- Proficiency in Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
- Familiarity in composite materials manufacturing or production environment including Mold preparation, Vacuum bagging, Resin injection, and finishing of products.
- Produces technical manuals, and drawings associated with standard operating procedures.
- Use standard shop tools (Scissors, cloth cutters, wet saw, drill press, manual milling).
- Pending Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Engineering, preferably Mechanical Engineering or similar.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Product Development, or R&D and willingness to learn is essential.
- Excellent work ethic
- Must be a US citizen.
- Ability to pass drug test and background check.
- Trade school degrees are completed or in process of completion.
